The stunning, mystical Quinta da Regaleira is just as difficult to reach by car. While it’s located closer to the village center, it suffers from a different issue:

The palace sits on a narrow, one-way street with no space for stopping or turning around.

Surrounding village streets are frequently full, and often closed to through traffic on busy days.

All of Sintra’s major monuments — Pena Palace, Moorish Castle, and Regaleira — operate with strict timed-entry tickets.
