Description:

After a traditional lunch, visit a local cork factory to uncover the fascinating story of Portugal’s cork oak trees and their centuries-old harvesting methods. Following hotel check-in and some time to relax, your evening brings a magical stargazing session under the crystal-clear Alentejo skies – one of Europe’s top spots for astronomy.

The next morning, journey to the picturesque village of Arraiolos, famed for its exquisite hand-woven tapestries. Explore the village streets and admire the artistry passed down through generations. Then, head to a prestigious winery for a guided visit, wine tasting, and a delicious regional lunch. As the afternoon sun warms the vineyards, sit back and enjoy the scenic drive back to Lisbon, bringing an end to this intimate escape into the heart of Portugal’s wine country.

• DAY 1: Évora’s Heritage, Cork Traditions & Stargazing under the Alentejo Skies
• Departure from Lisbon, morning time, pickup from hotel in Lisbon.
• Head to Evora, and visit the old town.
• Lunch in the old town. Afternoon visit to Cork factory.
• 2h rest at hotel after checkin, and early dinner on your own.
• Evening time, stargazing session at 9h30PM (1h30 duration)
• Overnight in Evora

• DAY 2: Arraiolos Tapestries & Alentejo Wine Experience
• Pickup from hotel in Evora.
• Morning visit to Arraiolos, local tapestries, unique in Portugal.
• Lunch in the old town. Afternoon visit to Cork factory.
• Winery visit + wine tasting experience and lunch.
• Return to Lisbon in the afternoon. End of tour
