Escape the city and dive into the wild with our new Half-Day Safari Tour from Lisbon to Badoca Safari Park, the most iconic wildlife park in Portugal. Located just 1 hour and 15 minutes south of Lisbon, Badoca Park offers an extraordinary opportunity to encounter exotic animals in natural-style habitats — without leaving mainland Portugal.
This private half-day experience is perfect for families, couples, or wildlife lovers looking to blend a relaxing countryside escape with the thrill of African-style safaris.
Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed by the park’s expert staff and board a special safari vehicle for a guided off-road tour through the savannah areas. Watch giraffes stride across open fields, zebras graze calmly nearby, and antelopes, ostriches, and wildebeests roam freely. With over 600 animals from 50 species, within 90 hectares (222 acres), the park offers close encounters that are both educational and exciting.
In addition to the safari, the park includes a bird of prey show, lemur island, and forest trails that wind through cork oak groves and Mediterranean vegetation. There’s also a relaxing café area for a coffee or snack before returning to Lisbon.
