Itinerary
The Catholic Private Day Tour of Lisbon, will show you some of the most important catholic places in the city for around 7h duration. Although the itinerary can be adjusted during the day, this is the standard itinerary:
Start the tour and head to Belem, in Lisbon west part.
Sightseeing around Belem, famous for the Belem Tower, Jeronimo’s Monastery and Discovery Monument. Stop for photos
Visit to the Jeronimo’s Monastery (Church – closed on Mondays)
Stop at Pasteis de Belem, the most famous pastry shop in the country, known for it’s original custard tarts.
Admire the beautiful views overlooking the Tejo River, the 25th April Bridge and the Christ Statue
Visit the Christ King Statue, on the south bank of Lisbon
Head to Lisbon Downtown and stop for lunch (1h)
Visit Rossio square, one of the most famous squares in Portugal.
Close to Rossio square, visit St Domingos Church, one of the most important in town.
Admire the views overlooking Lisbon Downtown, and stop at the Santa Justa Elevador and Rua Augusta, the famous walking road of Lisbon.
Visit The Commerce Square, known for hosting the former Royal Palace before the big earthquake of 1755.
Continue the tour to Alfama, the old quarter of Lisbon, famous for the Lisbon Castle, The Lisbon Cathedral, and it’s narrow streets.
Pass by the Jewish Quarter of Alfama
Stop at Saint Anthony Church and the house where he was born (Saint of the Lost things)
If time allows, stop at Chiado for a quick visit, including a stop at the Sao Pedro Alcantara Viewpoint, overlooking the city, or as alternative, a stop at Parque Eduardo VII viewpoint instead.
End the tour.
