Suggested Itinerary

The Hiking Tour of Sintra (3h) will give you an opportunity to visit Sintra away of the crowds, exploring the forest on a hiking tour of 3h, including the narrow streets of Sintra, the old town, and the Moorish Castle, using trails along the forest / Natural Park of Sintra, Unesco World Heritage. This itinerary will have a duration of 3h total, with approximately 3miles (5km). Difficulty level is high, and not recommended if you have any disability. We will use mostly forest trails, including stairs. Recommended itinerary:

• Departure available from your hotel at 9h0AM (flexible)
• Arrive at Sintra old village and stop for coffee and pastry (optional). Visit the old village, and the exterior from Sintra National Palace.
• Overlooking views towards the top of the hill, where the Moorish Castle can be seen from the village.
• Starting hiking up the hill, towards the Moorish Castle, using forest trails (1h) – Difficulty level high
• Arrive at the Moorish Castle. Explore the Castle, built 1000 years ago, and enjoy the amazing views towards the Natural Park and the Atlantic Ocean
• Start heading down the hill of Sintra, using a different route / trail, through Villa Sassetti (1h)
• Arrive back at the old village of Sintra. Return to your hotel in Lisbon, Sintra or Cascais, for drop-off.

(during the day we will pass by different attractions and stop for pictures at several viewpoints and sights in Sintra)
