Itinerary

Although normaly we recommend one separate day for Sintra (dedicated), and another day for Obidos/Nazare, etc, on this tour, we combine both Sintra and Nazare in one single day, for customers with limited time.
In the morning period we cover the highlights of Sintra, Unesco World Heritage town, including an optional visit to Pena National Palace, and the Old Medieval Village, and in the afternoon period we head to Nazare, the famopus fisherman village, known for the historical lighthouse and where was recorded the biggest ever surfed wave in the world, 30meters (100 foot).

• Departure available from your hotel at 8h00AM
• Arrive at Sintra around 9h00m and head up the hill to the Pena National Palace, the most visited palace in Portugal – considered in 2015 by EBD the most beautiful castle of Europe
• Visit inside Pena National Palace, former summer Royal Residence of the Portuguese Kings and Queens (1h45m), with magnificent overlooking views towards the Moorish Castle and the countryside – difficulty level: medium (with steps)
• Optional free time to explore the old medieval village of Sintra – 45min (Access only walking)
• Stop for Lunch nearby the village or at Nazare (1h – meal not included)
• Head to Nazare for a visit (1h distance)
• Visit to the fisherman village, an the lighthouse, near the place were was recorded the biggest waves in the world
• Finish tour and return for drop-off

(during the day we will pass by different attractions and stop for pictures at several viewpoints and sights in Sintra
* Importante Notice: The visit to Pena National Palace may take longer than usual, specially if starting the tour later. On this case, the visit might be a self-guided visit of the exterior only.
* Times on each stop may vary, depending on group pace and preferences, since all our tours are private.
